santa claus cross stitch patterns

Ahhhh, listen to those bells jingling. It must be Christmas! Imagine how much fun people would have with their Christmas cards if they arrived with the jingle of a bell as they landed on the doormat. And no, that’s not the postman ringing the doorbell as he has a parcel – it’s a light festive tinkle of a jingle bell, adorning the cards in these Rudolph and Santa cross stitch patterns!

If you have some little bells in your craft stash, dig them out These Santa cross stitch patterns have been created to work with all different sizes of bell, so even if yours is larger than the 10mm bells we have shown in our cards, there should still be plenty of space to include them in your Rudolph and Santa cross stitch patterns. If your bells are coloured, that’s all the better! Do you have a red bell to serve as Rudolph’s nose?

We are finishing our Rudolph and Santa cross stitch patterns as Christmas cards in square aperture card mounts. If you are buying there, you’ll need a 5.5cm square aperture. Or why not try making your own with our DIY aperture card tutorial?

If your cards are travelling a long way in the post, you might want to put a little tissue paper over the bell to protect it and stop it getting squashed in transit. But if you use 20mm bells or smaller, you can still post these as Large Letters without them getting too thick. If you want to keep postage costs as low as possible, replace the bell with a flat charm, button, sequin or even a squashable mini pompom to make sure your card is less than 5mm thick – or of course you can always cross stitch this into your design! Or why not try our Christmas card cross stitch patterns instead?
