Free Platinum Jubilee cross stitch

Whether or not you are patriotic we can all agree that 70 years on the throne is something to be celebrated! Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the first-ever monarch to reach the Platinum Jubilee milestone. This beautiful pair of cross stitch charts to celebrate the occasion were designed by Jenny Barton. The first is a detailed stitch of the crown jewels surrounded by an intricate border, stitched in metallic gold. The second design features the Queen herself within a ribboned frame. Both designs contain text which indicates the celebration – making them fabulous commemorative pieces.

These patterns are for intermediate stitchers who are familiar with this craft, however, if you are an advanced beginner who has all the techniques down these would be a wonderful challenge for you. The Platinum Jubilee commemorates 70 years of a monarchy’s rule. The first British monarch to accomplish it is Queen Elizabeth II.

When is the Jubilee?

February 6th 2022 marked her majesty’s 70th year on the throne. Celebrations will take place between Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June 2022 which will see a four day bank holiday weekend.

How can I celebrate the Jubilee?
