Free Pride Cross Stitch Pattern

June is Pride month and we’re encouraging you to show the love and support for the LGBTQIA+ community with this colourful Pride cross stitch pattern, designed by Cheryl McKinnon of Tiny Modernist. Why not stitch our free cross stitch design to make a card to send to a pal, or back with cardstock to make a mini hanging or flag? You could even stitch the design on soluble or waste canvas directly onto a plain T-shirt or tote bag to wear with pride!

This chart is perfect for beginner stitchers – it’s incredibly quick and simple to stitch using just whole stitches and a little bit of backstitch. The design might be small in size but the vibrant colours and message will ensure it has a big impact! We’ve used a range of DMC stranded cottons in red, purple, orange, yellow, green and blue to create the colourful rainbow effect but you can use any thread shades in your stash.

You will need:

• Size 24 tapestry needle
• 14-count white aida
• DMC stranded cottons as listed in the key
• Embroidery scissors
• An embroidery hoop to hold your fabric
